What are the new amendments that were passed in the Rajya Sabha on 24 July 2019?
Well the biggest one is the death penalty for aggravated penetrative assault. The other amendments include fines for storage and distribution of child pornography, as well as specific laws to punish people for chemically inducing children to attain early maturity. The amendments also provide for setting up over 1,000 new fast-track courts to dispose off the new and existing cases.
