MK Stalin Becomes DMK President, Durai Murugan Elected Treasurer

Stalin had filed nomination for the post of DMK president on 26 August.

MK Stalin was elected as the president of the DMK on Tuesday, 28 August, at the party's general council meeting in Chennai. Prior to his election, he was the working president of the party.

Stalin had filed nomination for the post of party president on 26 August, the last day for filing of nominations.

Alongside, senior leader and the principal secretary of the DMK, Durai Murugan, was elected the treasurer of the party.
