Disqualified MLAs to Move Supreme Court

Rebel Congress MLAs Ramesh L Jarkiholi, Mahesh Kumathalli and Independent MLA R Shankarhave, who were disqualified and banned from contesting elections by Karnataka Assembly Speaker Ramesh Kumar on Thursday, 25 July will move the Supreme Court against their disqualification.

'Will Discuss State Cabinet Formation With Amit Shah': Yediyurappa

Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Friday, 26 July, said that he will discuss the matter of State Cabinet formation with Amit Shah and other leaders. "If necessary, I will go to Delhi tomorrow, we will take the decision afterwards," Yediyurappa said.

'Our Govt Will Prove Majority on 29 July': Yediyurappa

BS Yediyurappa said on Friday, 26 July, that his government will take the floor test and prove its majority at 10 am on 29 July. The Finance Bill will be also passed on the same day, he said.

Speaking to reporters after holding cabinet meeting, he said the legislative council would begin its proceedings on 30 July.
