On the occasion of our 73rd Independence Day, The Quint wishes to salute the soldiers for their commitment and bravery; for doing their duty selflessly.

Our jawans stay away from their families for months. They may miss their child’s first day at school, or may not be around to help their ageing parents. Therefore, a sandesh written to a soldier away from home could give them comfort.

Citizens from across the nation have sent their sandesh, expressing their gratitude to the armed forces.

Jagabandhu Rath writes his sandesh to a soldier from Odisha:

In her sandesh, Meenal Parihar from Rajasthan thanked the soldiers for their sacrifices.

Sneha Das from Kolkata thanked the jawans for ensuring citizens’ safety and security.

“We remember your sacrifices”, writes Yousuff from Mumbai.

Diana Doctor from Mumbai thanked the ‘peacekeepers’ of the nation in her sandesh.

Aman Sharma from Himachal Pradesh salutes the armed forces for their service.

You too can write and record your sandesh to a soldier, a tribute and a token of appreciation for the soldiers you may have never met or even seen.
