In a heartbreaking turn of events, model, entrepreneur and cookbook author Chrissy Teigen suffered a miscarriage on 30 September.
Teigan shared the devastating news on her social media platforms, writing a tribute to her son who she and husband John Legend named Jack.
“To our Jack - I’m so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you,” she wrote.
The 34-year-old had been documenting her pregnancy on social media, posting live updates on the complications and worries the family faced in the last week as well. She revealed she had been admitted to the hospital post severe and constant bleeding, and put on bed rest.
“It was like a faucet that wouldn’t turn off,” she had said about her bleeding.
“We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before,” she wrote.
Teigen and Legend have two children, Luna and Miles, and are very open on social media, constantly sharing updates and videos with their fans.
Legend quote tweeted Teigen’s tweet, adding, “We love you Jack.”
