Times Now-VMR Exit Poll Predicts NDA’s Sweep in Hindi Heartland

Times Now- VMR exit polls predict 262 seats for the BJP and 78 seats for the Congress. Among other major parties, the exit poll expects 20 seats for the Mahagthbandhan, 28 seats for Trinamool Congress and 23 seats for DMK.The Times Now-VMR exit poll has projected 306 seats for NDA, while a 132 seats for UPA. The others are projected to get 104 seats.After the 2014 exit polls, Times Now, in collaboration with ORG predicted 249 seats for NDA, 148 for UPA and 146 for other parties.When the actually numbers came out BJP alone bagged 282 seats, while the Congress got just 44 seats.With the exit polls expected to roll out their numbers soon, the BJP reportedly held a meeting of its spokespersons to brief them on how to deal with the predictions, Times Now reported.As the seven-phase long Lok Sabha elections drew to a close on Sunday, 19 May, the Times Now-VMR exit poll predicted a majority for the Narendra Modi-led NDA government.
