US President Donald Trump spoke on a wide range of issues across the world while addressing reporters in Hanoi, the Vietnamese capital, after his second two-day summit with North Korea.
On Fears of India-Pakistan War
President Trump voiced confidence that the hostilities between India and Pakistan would end soon, saying he has some "reasonably decent" news with the US involved in trying to help reduce tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbours.
There’s a lot of dislike unfortunately. So we’ve been in the middle trying to help them both out, see if we can get some organisation and some peace. And I think probably that’s going to be happening.

On Meeting North Korean President Kim Jong Un
President Donald Trump says his summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un fell through after the North demanded a full removal of US sanctions in exchange for the closure of its Yongbyon nuclear facility.
We have to have sanctions and he wants to denuke, but he wants to just do areas that are less important than the areas that we want. We know the country very well, believe it or not we know every inch of that country and we have to get what we have to get because that’s a big give (ending sanctions).

He also said that he "trusts" the North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and will "take him on his word" about denuclearisation efforts despite talks between the two leaders collapsing in the Vietnamese capital Hanoi.
On China Mediating to Improve US-North Korea Relationship
China’s been very helpful. President Xi is a great leader. He’s a highly respected leader all over the world and especially in Asia and he’s helped us...But he has been very helpful at the (China/North Korea) border and he’s been very, very helpful with North Korea generally. Could he be a little more helpful? Probably. But he’s been excellent.

On Venezuela Crisis
Trump also used the news conference to comment on the Venezuelan political crisis, saying that US aid is getting through the country's border.
We’re sending supplies. Supplies are getting through, a little bit more. It’s not easy. It’s hard to believe somebody would say, “Let’s not do it.”
