Reacting strongly to the arrest of an office-bearer of the Sanathan Sanstha in Mumbai’s Nalasopara, NCP President Sharad Pawar said that a thorough probe must be conducted and strict action must be taken against such extremist forces.
On The Quint’s special show ‘Rajpath’, in an exclusive interview with Editorial Director Sanjay Pugalia, NCP President Sharad Pawar said
Everybody knows about this organisation (Sanatan Sanstha). They have been active for quite some time. Sanatan also runs a newspaper. We have seen in the past that they write poisonous articles about people of a certain ideology. They not only write about them, but also print their photos and put a cross on them.

Sharad Pawar said that he is happy that Maharashtra ATS is attempting to conduct a fair investigation and taking strict action against extremist forces.
When some people were killed under Congress-NCP rule too then it was said that we are deliberately taking their name. But now the BJP is in power in both the state and the Centre, and yet the same people are under suspicion. It is clear that these forces are ready to take extreme steps and I am happy that the Maharashtra ATS is attempting to conduct a fair investigation.
