The Quint met with the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader and Ram Vilas Paswan's son Chirag Paswan who will contest for the second time from the Jamui constituency of Bihar, this time against RSLP leader Bhudeo Choudhary. In 2014, the actor-turned-politician defeated RJD's Sudanshi Shekhar by 85,000 votes.

But what are the issues on which Paswan is fighting the 2019 election and what will be the impact of Lalu Prasad Yadav's absence? He says, "In the past five years, I have worked such that there are some schemes which I have been successful in implementing on the ground. So, I am confident that this time too chirag will burn brighter." He also said that the people of Jamui are with him. Commenting on PM Modi, he said "PM Modi is the world's strongest politician.
