The son of Kargil martyr Lance Nayak Bachan Singh was inducted into the Indian Army at the passing out parade organised by the Indian Military Academy in Dehradun on 9 June.

His brother too aims to join the Indian Army and has begun his preparations.

Hailing from Muzaffarnagar, Lieutenant Hitesh Kumar hopes that his home town would not just be associated with riots that took place in 2013.

He was not the only one from Muzaffarnagar who was inducted into the Indian Army on 9 June. Lieutenant Abhishek Dhariwal, Lieutenant Shubham Bhardwaj, Lieutenant Rohit Malik were among others.

He graduated with a bachelors dgree in commerce from the Delhi University’s Shri Ram College of Commerce and says that this has helped him in fulfilling his dream of joining the Indian Army.
