Yogendra Yadav, political commentator and President of Swaraj India joined The Quint's newsroom to breakdown the 2019 General Election numbers and the lessons that the Opposition should take from PM Modi's landslide win.
With the BJP sweeping the 2019 elections, Yadav argues that it’s time for an alternative model of Opposition to emerge; rather than traditional national parties like Congress. Speaking about the results, Yadav said that while he had anticipated the BJP’s victory, he had been unsure about whether it would get a majority on its own or within a coalition.
