If kids could have their way, most of them would throw away all things healthy and gorge on cakes and pastries. So what should you do if you have a picky eater at home? Chef Rakhee Vaswani says go to stealth!

Here’s a recipe of yummy noodles which is full of protein and vegetables.

Ingredients

  • Boneless chicken (leg portion) - 100 gms
  • Shredded Š Noodles - 1 packet
  • Peppers (red, yellow, green) - ¼ of each
  • Broccoli (sliced) - 3 to 4 florets
  • Spring onion (blanched) - 1
  • sliced  Š Zucchini - 3 to 4 slices
  • Bean sprouts- a handful
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 tsp
  • Teriyaki sauce - 2 tbsp
  • Oyster sauce - 2 tbsp
  • Soya sauce - 2 tbsp
  • White pepper powder - ½ tsp
  • Salt- to taste
  • Oil -2 tbsp
  • Eggs (scrambled) - 2

Method

Keep all the ingredients ready and then heat one teaspoon oil in a wok. Add chicken, season with salt and white pepper powder and keep it aside. Heat one teaspoon oil again and scramble the eggs with salt and pepper. Keep this aside as well. Now add the remaining oil and fry the garlic and all the vegetables on high heat.

Stir everything, add boiled noodles and top it with bean sprouts.

Remember to keep the vegetables crunchy and salt low, because all your Chinese sauces are very salty.

Drizzle some soy sauce on top and you’ve got a delectable dish.
