PUBG has been on a relentless streak to hunt down in-game cheaters to maintain a balanced and fair gaming environment for almost 400 million players around the world.

To further bolster its cheat-free ecosystem, the company has decided to add an anti-cheating detection system to the game that will be able to track cheaters more efficiently.

This will be an addition to the existing security system which has an upgraded anti-cheat system with advanced real-time detection technology.

As the first line of defence, PUBG has developed a detection software that is able to scan for suspect software and modified game data.

As hackers and cheating tools evolve, PUBG is expanding its library to cross-reference when detecting suspicious software. It is also using game observation techniques by which they are able to identify players using unfair means to gain an advantage over their competition.

Tencent has set up a team of 300 reviewers who have been primarily assigned to track in-game activity and flag cheaters.

Anybody can hack PUBG using certain hack tools that allow players to alter the game’s .apk files which gives them special abilities and advantages over other players. Similar problems have also been spotted in the PC version of the game.

These tools let players gain abilities that make them immune to bullets and some tools also give players the ability to spot enemies behind walls. Some hacks allow players to drive cars in the water while many are able to scale a four-floor building with a single jump.

Earlier this month, PUBG decided that it will ban anyone found cheating for 10 years.
