Facebook has been looking to push Dark Mode for its application. The day isn’t far when you’ll see a dark interface for your Facebook app. Many Android smartphone users have spotted the Dark Mode on the Facebook app which means the company has been testing the same.

Not only that, but Facebook also seems to be testing the “Favourites” feature that is somewhat similar to the “Close Friends” feature on Instagram. This way Facebook would allow users to share their updates and stories only with a select number of friends.

Facebook’s Dark Mode was spotted on Reddit a few months ago. The person who posted the screenshot of the Dark Mode also said that it was available only for a few minutes and then vanished.

Some tweets with screenshots of the Facebook app in Dark Mode have surfaced online which means that the feature could be out soon. Since most of the screenshots that were spotted online were on Android devices, we assume that the feature will first come to Android.

Facebook has already released Dark Mode for Messenger and even Instagram and now Facebook and WhatsApp remain the only two platforms in this family to get this mode.
