"This is going to be a historic day," said Apple CEO Tim Cook, as he kicked off the 2023 edition of the company's annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) at Cupertino, California, on Monday, 5 June.
At the event, Apple unveiled a wide array of products as well as a slew of upgrades and features. Here are all the products Apple introduced during the WWDC event:
Apple CEO Tim Cook said that the new MacBook Air is 11.5 mm thick, weighs around 1.3 kg, and is powered by Apple's M2 chipset.
A video on the laptop unveiled a headphone jack, two USB-C ports and a charging dock.
The battery in the laptop can last for 18 hours
It also features an 8-core CPU and 10-core GPU.
Apple announced the much-anticipated mixed-reality Vision Pro headset.
Users will be able to control apps using their eyes, head, and voice while hearing the headset. A demo video showed a user consuming and creating content in a 3D environment.
The headset features a 3D camera, which can capture moments while a user wears the device.
The headset is powered by Apple's M2 chipset as well as a brand-new chip called R1 - which has been designed specifically for real-time censor processing.
A brand new Mac Pro was launched by Apple during the WWDC event, which is powered by the M2 Ultra 24-core CPU.
It will also be able to support upto a 76-core GPU, eight Thunderbolt 4 ports, and as many as six Pro Display XDR.
The new iOS 17 comes with brand-new features, including one called "Name Drop" which allows two iPhones or Apple Watches to share contacts, music, etc.
Apple's FaceTime will also be upgraded with a voicemail function, which will allow users to leave a video message for their friends.
Messaging will be upgraded as well with better search functionality and a catch-up feature in group chats that allows a user to set up auto-notifications to let people know that they have reached their location safely.
Apple's new iPad will get the same features as the iOS 17, including new messaging features and AirDrop.
The iPad will also be able to showcase Live Activities like the iOS.
