The Indian cricket team, led by Virat Kohli in Tests and Rohit Sharma in T20s are hosting Bangladesh for three T20 Internationals and two Test matches. The two Tests will be a part of the inaugural 2019–21 ICC World Test Championship.

The second and final Test, will be both the sides’ first-ever Day-Night game.

The Indian Test team features no changes from the team that faced South Africa in the three-match series earlier this month. Kuldeep Yadav has been selected despite injury concerns due to which Shahbaz Nadeem had earned his Test debut in the final Test at Ranchi.

For the T20Is, India rested captain Virat Kohli with fatigue concerns with Rohit Sharma stepping in to lead the Men in Blue. Shivam Dube and Sanju Samson got call ups after their impressive performances for India A and the Vijay Hazare trophy respectively. Yuzvendra Chahal and Shardul Thakur also returned to the squad.
