A clash between two very unlikely groups has erupted in the national capital – lawyers and Delhi police.

Lawyers have been shot at, police have been injured, and at least two lawyers have threatened to kill themselves… and both groups blame each other for the situation.

Till this podcast was recorded, the parties haven’t reached truce. Lawyers protest outside Delhi’s Saket District Court and things don’t look like they’ll end soon.

Protests from both groups have been ongoing since last week – the first violent incident was on Saturday, 2 November, between lawyers and the police at Tis Hazari Court complex and the second incident was, as per its purported video, a skirmish between a policeman and lawyers, one of whom slapped the former, outside Saket District Court on Monday.

We’re joined by a LOT of people today – Secretary of the Bar Council Vishnu Sharma, former Commissioner of Police of Mumbai, MN Singh, The Quint’s Editorial Director Sanjay Pugalia and reporter Anthony Rozario.

So, what’s happened and what will happen next? Let’s find out.
