 The Supreme Court on Wednesday, 16 August, released a handbook on combating gender stereotypes in the judiciary. Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud said that the purpose of this is to eliminate words and expressions that are biased against women. Here are some excerpts from the handbook on words to avoid, and the preferred words to use instead.
