US Drone Strike Reportedly Kills Haqqani Network Commander in Pak

A United States drone strike has killed a commander of the Haqqani network in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reported Pakistani daily Dawn, citing security sources.
The drone reportedly fired two missiles at Haqqani network leader Abubakar’s house in Speen Tal area of Hangu district, killing him and his partner and “completely destroying” his house.
According to Voice of America, Abubakar hailed from Afghanistan’s Khost province, where Haqqani network founder Jalaluddin hailed from.
There has been no official confirmation of the drone strike, though it comes only days after Afghanistan's intelligence agency blamed the Taliban-allied Haqqani Network for the 31 May suicide truck attack in Kabul, which killed over 80 people.
The group, now run by Jalaluddin’s son Sirajuddin, has been accused of the worst kinds of atrocities on US-led foreign troops in Afghanistan.
