A video showing a uniformed man beating a person holding Bangladesh's flag is being shared as one from India.
Those sharing the claim wrote, "Abdul Selling the Bangladeshi Flag in West Bengal. BSF Constable gave him the Best Treatment." (sic.)
What we found: At first, we closely looked at the video and observed the writing on the wall. We noticed that a text noted, 'rokomari.com.'

This hinted that the video could be from Bangladesh.
We, then, divided the video into multiple screenshots and ran a Google reverse image search on some of them.
We came across a video with a similar frame on YouTube by News1 TV. It was uploaded on 11 June.
The report suggested that a flag seller was beaten by an army personnel during a football match between Bangladesh and Singapore during some chaos.

We found another report by Kalbela from 12 June which noted during the match a significant number of eager spectators, many without tickets remained gathered outside the entrance.
At the same time, several people disregarded all safety measures and collectively pushed against the gate, eventually rushing in like an unruly crowd.
Amid this chaos, a military personnel inadvertently charged with a baton at a flag vendor within the stadium vicinity. Later, the Bangladesh Army conveyed their apologies regarding the incident and presented him with one lakh taka as compensation.
Similarly, the Dhaka Post also reported on this incident in Bangladesh.
Conclusion: A video from Bangladesh showing an army personnel hitting a man has gone viral as one from West Bengal with a false claim.
