Not Anil Upadhyay, But Mohan Pandey

The man in the video has been identified as Munna Pandey, aka Mohan Pandey, by entrepreneur Tanmay Shankar, in a video posted by him on 10 April.

The same clip, which is now viral, was tweeted by Shankar, who is also followed by Prime Minister Modi, Amit Shah, Union ministers Ravi Shankar Prasad and Piyush Goyal's office's official twitter handle.

Shankar has tweeted multiple videos of this Pandey often.

In every clip, Shankar has identified the man as Munna Pandey, or Mohan Pandey.

When The Quint reached out to Shankar, he clarified that the man in the video is indeed Mohan Pandey and is known to him personally. He also stated that Pandey is not connected to any political party, and he works for a private firm.

“I know him personally and he is not connected to any political party. He is just a common man interested in politics and hence he keeps making these videos which I share.”
Tanmay Shankar, Entrepreneur

Meanwhile, Mohan Pandey too shares his videos on his Facebook page, which can be accessed here.

Not the First Fake Claim

This is not the first time Pandey's videos have gone viral with a false name. Earlier, one of his videos went viral misidentifying him as DCP Crime, Delhi Police.
