Parliament Monsoon Session LIVE Updates: Both Houses of Parliament were adjourned on Tuesday, 25 July, amid demands by the Opposition for a discussion on the unrest in Manipur.
The Opposition has demanded the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a discussion over the ethnic violence in the state.
The government, however, remains firm on its stand that they are ready for a discussion but the Opposition is allegedly not allowing Parliament to function.
Meanwhile, 'INDIA' alliance MPs protested against the suspension of AAP MP Sanjay Singh from the Rajya Sabha on Monday, 24 July.

Both houses of the parliament are scheduled to convene at 11 am.
Minutes after convening at 11 am, Lok Sabha was adjourned till 2 pm amid ruckus over Manipur issue.
"Yesterday, before the suspension motion of AAP MP Sanjay Singh was passed, I requested you to conduct voting for the same... I seek division right now on the suspension of Sanjay Singh," AAP MP Raghav Chadha said.
Amid ruckus over Opposition's demand to discuss the Manipur issue under rule 267, Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankar adjourned the house till 12 noon.
"The govt is ready for discussion on the 177 notices of the atrocities against women and children in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. All over the country, if there is a crime against women, the Govt is ready for discussion. We should have discussions on these issues" Union Minister Piyush Goyal said minutes before the Rajya Sabha was adjourned.
"The opposition and the Congress do not want the discussion. They create a ruckus and are not interested in running the Parliament," Union Minister Kiren Rijiju told news agency ANI.
Rajya Sabha resumed at 12 noon.

"Home Minister Amit Shah will speak on the Manipur issue. We want a discussion on the atrocities against women in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal and Manipur as well," Union Minister Piyush Goyal said.
While opposing government's stand of discussing atrocities on women in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh along with Manipur, RJP MP Manoj Jha raising Rule 238 (4), said that the government is equating Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh which has no genocidal impact while Manipur has genocidal impact.
Rajya Sabha has been adjourned till 2 pm.

The Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day on Tuesday, 25 July, shortly after Home Minister Amit Shah said that the Centre was willing to discuss the issue of unrest in Manipur.
