After Friday's late night drama at late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa's Poes Garden home in Chennai, Kamal Haasan on 19 November, Sunday, hit out at the ruling AIADMK government on Twitter.

The 63-year-old actor, who is an open critic of ruling AIADMK, wrote on the micro-blogging site that 'criminals should not rule' and people should 'turn judges and wake up'.

Theft by a government is a crime. Not proving after unravelling, isn’t it a crime too? The bell has been rung. Criminals should not rule. People should turn judges. Let’s wake up.
Kamal Haasan tweeted in Tamil on Sunday

Earlier in August, when warring EPS and OPS factions merged, Kamal had mocked the AIADMK on social media.

“Gandhi cap! Saffron cap! Kashmir cap! Now, the joker’s cap sits on the Tamilian’s head. Is this enough or you want more? Please stand up, Tamilians,” he had tweeted.

Income Tax Officials Raided Jayalalithaa’s House, Searched Sasikala’s Room

Income Tax sleuths conducted searches in the office block of the Poes Garden residence of Jayalalithaa on Friday.

Following inputs, a search operation was launched in the office block and a room used by jailed and deposed AIADMK leader VK Sasikala at ‘Veda Nilayam’, the Poes Garden residence. A laptop was seized, among other things.

After the searches, AIADMK's sidelined leader TTV Dhinakaran blamed Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E Palaniswami and deputy CM O Paneerselvam behind the searches.

Attempts being made to destroy our family using the Income Tax department, we are not scared and won’t run away.
Dhinakaran was quoted as saying by ANI

Several members of the Sasikala and TTV Dhinakaran faction also staged protests outside the residence on Friday.
