Reacting to the outrage expressed by the Opposition following the horrific rape and murder of an eight-year-old in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh asserted that the state government "took a call" as soon as it heard about the incident.
Singh alleged that the Opposition was "politicising" the incident and using it to "strengthen pro pakistan elements."
The deputy CM also said that his party only wanted "fair investigation".
Singh also asserted that "criminals who did it have no religion like terrorists have no religion".
As the issue of brutal rape and murder of the eight-year-old is beginning to wear communal shades, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Thursday promised that there will be no obstruction of justice.
