Taking to Twitter only a little after Aryan Khan was granted bail by the Bombay High Court on Thursday, 28 October, in the case brought against him by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Nawab Malik wrote:
Malik has been critical of the entire Mumbai cruise-drugs bust operation carried out by the NCB. After 27 days of arrest, Bombay High Court on Thursday granted bail to Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchantt, and Munmun Dhamecha.
Meanwhile, senior Nationalist Congress Party Nawab Malik on Friday questioned why no action was taken against the senior executive of Fashion TV, Kashif Khan.
The minister went on to allege that Khan was let off by NCB, as the Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede's friend.
On Thursday, he had said:
Saying that the 'situation had completely changed' on Friday, he added:
"Almost a month ago, a person (Kiran Gosavi) who was involved in arresting an innocent youth is now behind the bars. Another person (Sameer Wankhede) who was leading the raid is now knocking doors of the court, requesting to transfer the case investigated by the Mumbai Police to CBI or NIA," news agency ANI reported.
Malik had also previously accused the NCB official of lying about his religion in order to land a job under the reservation policy after clearing the civil services examination.
