NEET 2019 registrations began on 1 November and will close on 30 November. Aspirants can now apply for the NEET exam through the official website.

The NEET UG exam is conducted for admissions to MBBS and BDS courses at medical and dental colleges approved by the Medical Council of India (except AIIMS and JIPMER which conduct a separate entrance test). From this year onwards, NEET UG will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).

Following are the important details for candidates who want to apply for NEET 2019.

NEET 2019: Important Dates

  • Online registration process begins: 1 November 2018
  • Last date to register online: 30 November 2018
  • Admit cards download: 15 April 2019
  • Date of examinations: 5 May 2019
  • NEET 2019 Result date: 5 June 2019

How to Register for NEET 2019:

  • Go to the official website of NEET: nta.ac.in.
  • Click on 'NEET - UG 2019' application form.
  • Log in with your user ID and password and enter the required details.
  • Download the form and take a print out for further use.

NEET UG 2019: Exam Pattern

  • NEET 2019 will be a three-hour long exam which includes three sections – physics, chemistry and biology.
  • Here’s the breakdown of the total 180 questions:
    Biology: 90 Questions
    Physics: 45 Questions
    Chemistry: 45 Questions
  • Marking scheme: Four marks for a correct answer and one negative mark for every incorrect answer.
  • No penalty for un-attempted questions.

NEET 2019 Registrations: Important Documents

Documents required for filing NEET 2019 application:

  • Class 10 mark-sheet.
  • Class 12 mark-sheet.
  • Scanned copy of candidate’s passport sized photograph.
  • Scanned copy of candidate’s signature.
  • Valid ID proof like an Aadhaar card or a Voter ID card.

NEET 2019: Application Fees

Here are the fee details of NEET 2019 applications:

  • General Category - Rs 1,400.
  • SC/ST/PwD/Transgender - Rs 750.

In 2018, 13 lakh students took the exam and a similar number of students are expected to appear for NEET 2019. Just like last year, this year too, NEET will be a single exam in the pen-and-paper mode as intimated by the NTA.
