Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, 25 June, thanked the people of the country for his second term in office, even as he slammed the Congress for “crushing India's soul” during the Emergency, in his 'Motion of Thanks on the President's Address’ in the Parliament.
Talking about the road ahead for the new government, Modi said there's a need to "move together to fulfil the dream of a strong, safe, developed and inclusive nation".
“I know that it takes time to change things which have been existing for the last 70 years. We did not divert or dilute from our main goal," he said.
In another dig at the Congress during his Lok Sabha address, PM Modi said that his government doesn't believe in vendetta.
