Two Militants Killed in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama District

The exact identity of the militants is yet to be established.

Two Hizbul Mujahideen militants were killed on Sunday after a brief gunfight in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district, police said.

"The militants, travelling in a vehicle, were challenged at a naka (checkpost) set up by security forces in Padgampora area of Pulwama, but instead of giving themselves up, started firing at the security personnel, triggering a brief gunfight in which both were killed," a police officer said here.

"The exact identity of the slain militants is being established, although both seem to be locals," the official added.
