A 6-year-old boy died, while a 29-year-old man was injured after gunshots were fired in a gym at Inderpuri, the police said on Saturday, 9 March. Four miscreants opened fire at a gym in Delhi's Indrapuri area and pelted stones at it around 8:30 pm on Saturday, 9 March. A 6-year-old boy watching from 2nd floor of the next flat (rented from the gym owner) died in the firing.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a child was among the three people killed in a head-on crash involving a school bus.
A patrol report says the crash occurred just after 7:15 pm Friday on US 377 near Bowlegs, about 80 kilometres southeast of Oklahoma City. A girl on the bus was killed, along with two people in an SUV.

A 32-year-old woman was allegedly thrashed to death by her partner in Gurgaon’s upscale South City-1 after a quarrel on Thursday night.

India has invited Saudi Arabia to invest in its strategic oil storage even as it looks to resurrect a USD 44 billion (Rs 3.08 lakh crore) refinery project with the world's largest oil producer after the BJP-ruled Maharashtra government denied land at the initial site.
Saudi Oil Minister Khalid Al Falih, on his second visit to India in three weeks, discussed with its Indian counterpart Dharmendra Pradhan the 60 million tonne (MT) a year mega oil refinery cum petrochemical complex, whose initial allocated land in coastal Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra was denotified by the state government earlier this month, as part of electoral understanding between the ruling BJP and Shiv Sena.

Union minister and senior BJP leader Vijay Goel today said his party had a direct fight with the Congress in the seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi and the AAP will bag the third place in the national capital in the upcoming general election.

A leopard strayed into a village and killed an 8-year-old girl in Uttar Pradesh's Balrampur district, an official today.
Rukmini, a resident of Baalu village located adjacent to Sohelwa forest had gone to relieve herself when she was attacked on Saturday evening, divisional forest officer R K Mittal said.
The animal dragged the girl inside the forest and her mauled body was found late night, he said, adding that the body was sent for post-mortem examination.
An encounter broke out between security forces and militants in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district today, police said.
Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Pinglish area of Tral in south Kashmir district after receiving specific intelligence input about presence of the militants in the area, a police official said.
He said as the forces were conducting the searches, the militants fired upon them.
The forces retaliated the firing, triggering an encounter, the official said.
The exchange of firing is going on, he said, adding that further details were awaited.
