Bhadra, the Chennai dog who was thrown off the roof by a medical student while his friend filmed it, has found a new home.

This incident from July saw Bhadra luckily survive the horrible fall. She was taken to a veterinary hospital and was diagnosed with multiple fractures in her front and rear legs.

After the video went viral, animal welfare activists, including Antony Clement Rubin and Jennifer Jacob, lodged a complaint to ensure the culprits were booked for the offence.

However, the activists didn’t just stop there. In a Facebook post Antony said Bhadra’s problems are far behind her as she has now been adopted by a loving family.

Karthik Dhandhapani, a resident of Chennai in Facebook post expressed his happiness at adopting Bhadra. In the heart-warming post he revealed how adopting Bhadra was a dream come true.

When a dream become reality!! It has been a desire of 6 years... Coming from a family that has no connection to animals, being inspired to do something for them, turned an animal lover, spending time with them outside and not able to have one at home... couple of fosters that came close but yet didn’t happen... Sigh! But today, I am very very happy to share that Bhadra is FAMILY. She came home as foster after she was found thrown off by the two medical students, and since then started ruling our hearts like she did the world. She is full of life, very happy, playful and a content kid.
