Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the results for class 12 on Thursday, 2 May. Delhi recorded a pass percentage of 91.87%, an increase of 2.87% compared to last year, as per PTI.
The Delhi government schools registered their best-ever performance till now with a pass percentage of 94.24 percent, out of which over 200 schools with a 100% pass percentage.
He also congratulated the children of Delhi and the education team of the government schools for surpassing the pass percentage of nation's private schools, which had a pass percentage of 83 percent.
A total of 1,29,917 students appeared for the examination from Delhi government schools, as per Indian Express. Girls outshone boys in government schools with 96.3 pass percentage while the boys had 91.48 pass percentage.
Foreign schools affiliated to CBSE have also improved their pass percentage from 94.94 to 95.43 percent.
The CBSE’s class 12 examination began on 16 February, earlier than previous years. The results, which was usually announced by the third week of May, was also announced earlier than scheduled.
