Hyderabad, Aug 28 (IANS) The second edition of the Deccan Dialogue on "Economic diplomacy in the age of Disruption" will be held at the Hyderabad campus of the Indian School of Business (ISB) on August 31.
Being organised by ISB, in partnership with the Ministry of External Affairs, the event brings together policymakers, representatives from business, the diplomatic and strategic community, media and academia on a common platform to engage and deliberate on emerging aspects of economic diplomacy and development, ISB said on Wednesday.
The focus areas of this edition of Deccan Dialogue are -- reshaping economic engagement in a rapidly transforming world order; negotiating newer frameworks for industry 4.0 and society 5.0; 'soft power' diplomacy and higher education and international finance in a multipolar world.
Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu will inaugurate the Dialogue and deliver the keynote address. Minister of State for External Affairs V. Muraleedharan will also attend the inaugural session.
Telangana's Minister for Agriculture and Civil Supplies, K. Niranjan Reddy, Andhra Pradesh Minister for Industries, Commerce and IT M. Goutham Reddy, Member of Parliament Amara Raja, Managing Director Jayadev Galla will also attend the event.
Brazilian ambassador to India Andre Aranha Correa do Lago, Australian High Commissioner to India Harinder Sidhu, Indian Council of World Affairs Director-General, TCA Raghavan and US Consul General in Hyderabad Joel Reifman will be among the diplomats who will attend the event.
The maiden edition of Deccan Dialogue was held in May 2018 on the theme "decentralised cooperation".
