JEE Main, NEET (UG) 2020 Postponed to September: HRD Minister

Human Resource Development Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal said on Friday, 3 July, said that JEE Main examination will be held between 1-6 September, JEE advanced on 27th September & NEET (UG) 2020 will be held on 13 September.

While the JEE Main Exam would be held across two shifts – 9 am to 12 noon and 3pm to 6pm – from 1 to 6 September, the NEET (UG) exam will on 13 September from 2 pm to 5 pm.

Dates for release of admit cards containing roll number and exam centre for both JEE and NEET will be announced 15 days prior to the conduct of the two exams.

Pokhriyal said that the exams have been postponed keeping in mind the safety of students.

Earlier on Thursday, 2 July, the minister had said that he had asked an expert committee headed by the National Testing Agency to review the situation and offer their recommendations ‘latest by tomorrow.’

Pokhriyal said that he had advised the committee to provide fresh recommendations after looking at the prevailing situation and following requests “from students & parents appearing.”

While JEE Main 2020 is scheduled from 18-23 July, NEET (UG) 2020 will be held by 26 July.
