Over 52,000 Students Take Admission in DU, 4th Cut-Off on Sunday

Over 52,000 students have taken admission in Delhi University till Friday, 12 July, after the third cut-off list was announced.

According to data shared by the varsity, 42,547 students from the CBSE board have taken admission, followed by 1,895 from the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations and 1,182 from the Board of School Education, Haryana.

The other two boards which are in the top five list are the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, and the UP Board of High School and Intermediate Education, at 821 and 637, respectively.

Till now, 52,822 students have taken admission while the number of cancellations stands at 8,410.

As many as 1,260 students have withdrawn their admission.

This year, the varsity has affected a 10 percent increase in seats for the EWS category under postgraduate and undergraduate courses.

The number of seats for undergraduate courses has increased to 62,000. Separate cut-offs for the EWS category have also been released.

The fourth cut-off list is expected to be released on Sunday, 14 July. The fifth list would come out either on 19 or 20 June.

BCom Sees Highest Number of Admissions in DU

Meanwhile, the BCom course has seen the maximum number of admissions this academic session at DU as of Thursday, 11 July, with Zakir Husain College seeing the highest enrolment of students.

At least 5,252 students had chosen BCom, 4,897 had opted for BCom (Honours) and 4,204 students for BA (Honours) Political Science as of Thursday, data shared by the varsity stated.

The two other courses popular among the students are BA (Honours) History and BA (Honours) Hindi, which had seen 2,683 and 2,279 enrolments respectively by 11 July.

Zakir Husain College saw the maximum admissions at 1,611, followed by Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College at 1,580 and Kirori Mal College at 1,476, according to the data.
