Ahead of Class 10 and 12 Board examinations scheduled for this month, the Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) on Monday, 11 February, held a meeting of all stakeholders in Chandigarh to ensure "smooth functioning,” Hindustan Times reported.
S Dharini Arun, the new regional officer of CBSE in Chandigarh, chaired the meeting that was attended by around 150 school principals and other officials, the report said. District Education Officer Anujit Kaur and Deputy District Education Officer Monica Maini were also present at the meeting, which took place at the Delhi Public School (DPS).
The CBSE has also asked examiners and centre superintendents to take extra care while conducting the examination, the report quoted Kaur as saying.
Moreover, instructions were webcast from the board’s Delhi office, and were screened in DPS, Chandigarh.
“The meeting was an excellent initiative by the CBSE to ensure that exams are conducted in a fine manner. In the meeting, around 150 stakeholders participated for a detailed discussion on how to make exams student friendly,” DPS Principal Reema Deewan, who is the city coordinator of the CBSE Board Exams 2018-19, told HT.
