The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Saturday, 19 March, announced the Term 1 results of Class 12 board exams, which were held in December 2021.
In a circular, CBSE added that "the board is informing the schools only about the theory performance of their students of Class XII in a collective manner. Hence, the performance of the individual student will not be made available on the website."
CBSE Spokesperson Rama Sharma said, "As informed just now, CBSE has started sending performance of Class XII students to schools. Students can contact their respective schools."
On the weightage of the Term 1 results, the circular stated further:
The weightage of Term 1 and Term 2 will be decided at the time of the declaration of the Term II result, and accordingly, the final performance will be calculated.
Pass, Fail, and Compartment categories will be taken on the basis of Final results, which would be computed by the board after he Term 2 examination.
Results were earlier expected on the official site of CBSE.
Meanwhile, the term-II board examinations for Classes 10 and 12 will be held from 26 April 2022 and will be conducted in a single shift starting at 10:30 am, the CBSE had announced on 11 March. The subject-wise date sheet for the exams has also been released.
