Let’s Not Call the Zaheer-Sagarika Marriage ‘Love Jihad’

Cool people have been marrying outside their religions for decades. And the newest, coolest couple on the block is Zaheer Khan and Sagarika Ghatge.

But some people are apparently upset at this union and are calling it a case of ‘Love Jihad’.

Luckily this tribe has few people.

But it still is an important thing to talk about, because there are many who fear inter-religious marriages as if they were a tetanus injection!

We fear 'our' women will be used by 'men' of another religion, and it’s nothing but an attempt to reinforce both gender and caste/religious hierarchies.

And what's up with the casual use of the term ‘Love Jihad’? It normalises bigotry, and is as bad a word, actually worse than ‘fishes’!
