Even one whole month after the abrogation of Article 370, the people of Jammu and Kashmir may continue to be under a communications blockade, their rights to free speech and movement curtailed, the state’s leaders may be detained or under house arrest, and political activity disallowed – but don’t worry, certain TV news channels will somehow manage to show you that “Everything is normal!”
