The Lok Sabha Election 2019 is here and the citizens have stepped out to cast their vote. Ninety-one constituencies spread over 20 states and Union territories are queueing up to choose their leaders. Citizen journalists shared their inkfies with The Quint’s My Report team.
It is my duty as a responsible citizen of India to go and exercise my right to vote. Every vote matters. So please step out and vote!
I am an IT graduate, I hope all big IT multinational companies will come to Dehradun as it was promised to us. I also hope good government dental colleges will be established in Dehradun/Uttarakhand, which will increase opportunities for BDS students. Right now, BDS students have no choice but to opt for private colleges for their MDS even after getting 1st rank in state. Simply because there is no Government medical college which has MDS.

Venkatesh Mustabad Mondal from Rajanna Sircilla, Telangana was among the many who went to cast his vote in the first phase.
“I believe the 2019 election is a game changer due to influence of social media. In the past the influence of social media was less. Nothing is hidden from the people as it is all there on social media.”

“Polling was going on at a normal pace as usual. But even after repeated complaints, the Election Commission never releases an error free voters’ list despite having proper software. In Hyderabad’s Rajendranagar, the Chevella polling booths’ list having door numbers/locality name doesn’t contain all voters. Perhaps data entry is done as per will of data-entry operators, voters’ door numbers are mixed up irresponsibly, same family members are allotted booths not within the prescribed distance. If EC could not bring error-free voters’ list, it doesn't have the right to ask people to register or voters to vote,” writes TR Madhavan.
