My Report – The Quint’s citizen journalism platform – is seeking to engage and build a space to exchange ideas.
We’re introducing the My Report Debate, a chance for you to speak your mind and win money for it! The process is simple: we'll give you a question, and you have to respond with an essay.
The question is pretty easy!
Who do you think should lead India – a single party or a coalition?
India has seen several coalition governments in the past such as Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s regime (1998-99 and 1999-2004), Manmohan Singh’s regime (2004-09 and 2009-14) and Narendra Modi's NDA government in 2014.
Keeping in mind these, which suits India the best?
So start thinking and typing your essay, because the best entry could end up winning Rs 10,000. Both English and Hindi language essays are welcome.
Brownie points: The top ten essays will get a certificate of merit from The Quint and will be published on our website. A senior editor from The Quint and two veteran journalists will judge the entries.
Stick to the word limit! Original essays within 300-500 words will be accepted. May the best-argued essay win!
