On the sets of the Hotstar show Out Of Love, Soni Razdan got candid with The Quint. She spoke about how she thinks opportunities are finally opening up for older women, and how things are changing for the better.
“I think actors are almost pretty much spoilt for choice as to what they want to do. I don’t think we can have enough actors today because the amount and volume of work that suddenly increased is very, very, very, very positive in terms of what is required. Finally, we are now doing stuff which is very real.”

She also spoke about Alia’s hectic life and the need to do everything:
“I’m happy that she’s doing all these different, different things. I also do maintain, however that acting is your core strength and profession. So, to do too many other things is not a great idea. Simply because I think then you kind of lose sight of why you’re here in the first place.”

She also spoke about having to force Alia to share things:
“But yeah, so when we meet, our discussions are not centered around work. I have to really prod and poke and say, “No tell me, tell me tell me all about the film, tell me the story tell me this tell me that.” She’s very reticent when it comes to it. I think all the directors she’s working with will be very happy to know she doesn’t reveal their stories to me.”
