On Wednesday, 11 December, the Rajya Sabha passed the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB). While speaking exclusively to The Quint at an event in Mumbai, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap reacted to the implementation of CAB and said, “My instant reaction to it? My instant reaction to it is why and how and it’s not going to stop. We have voted for it, we should keep getting it. We will keep getting it. I’ve like literally switched off, I do not endorse anything.”
He added,
The passage of the Citizenship Amendment Bill, completes the legislative procedure for giving Indian citizenship to non-Muslim migrants from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
