Ghar More Pardesiya is the first song from Kalank that was released by the makers. Set amidst a Ramleela performance, the video is suitably grand. As Madhuri Dixit-Nene lends her voice, we see a troop of dancers perform against a palatial backdrop. Soon after, Alia Bhatt takes centre stage with a graceful classical performance. Now, the makers have released another video that talks about the idea and execution of the song.
From Amitabh Bhattacharya to Pritam and Remo D’Souza, everyone shares their experiences. But what really caught our attention was Alia and Madhuri’s bits. Alia shared how she was nervous to perform this song as she is not trained in Kathak and she had to share screen space with Madhuri. “Luckily for me Madhuri ma’am wasn’t dancing along with me because I don’t know what would have happened then,” she says.
Madhuri, too, shares her beautiful journey. “The whole relationship between me and Alia gets established in that song. Despite being a bhajan, the song is shot in a contemporary way”, she adds.
The film, which boasts of a star-studded cast, is set to hit the screens on 17 April.
