In the 12 second teaser, two unidentified people are standing the rain as one person slips a metal bracelet from the other person’s wrist to their own. The voiceover says, “Rishto ka farz ya mitti ka karz (the duty of relations or the duty of land)“
Take a look:
Set in the 17th century, the film is based on the life of Tanhaji Malusare, the military leader in the army of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The film will see Ajay and Kajol Devgn re-uniting on screen after 9 years when they starred in Toonpur Ka Super Hero. It also stars Saif Ali Khan.
Recently, Akshay Kumar unveiled a poster of Ajay Devgn from the film. Ajay completed 30 years in Bollywood, and Akshay penned a heartfelt note for his friend. “ We started our journey in this industry together...30 years ago. And I’ve seen your graph only grow from strength to strength. And as you are all set to mark your century with #TanhajiTheUnsungWarrior, I wish you nothing but lots of love and luck. Shine on my friend Ajay Devgn,” Akshay wrote.
In October, the first look posters of Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior were finally released by the makers and it showed Ajay Devgn looking majestic and fierce, donning a red turban and holding a sword. In the foreground, a war is waging between two armies and a fort is shown.
Sharing the poster on Twitter, Ajay wrote, “Mind that was as sharp as a sword... #TanhajiTheUnsungWarrior, in cinemas 10th January 2020.”
Two other posters show Saif Ali Khan charging with a sword and the other showing Saif and Ajay up in arms against each other.
