Congress leader Jitin Prasada on Friday, 22 March, commented on the speculation of him joining archrival BJP, saying he does not respond to "hypothetical questions."
Prasad who is a vital figure in the politically active Uttar Pradesh, was announced as the Congress candidate from Dhaurahra constituency for the Lok Sabha polls.
Although not emphatically denying the speculations, Prasada told reporters, "Why should I answer hypothetical questions? What is the basis of your question? I am not answerable to the clipping, I am answerable to myself.”
The claims on Prasada joining BJP were however, were strongly denied by Congress leader, Randeep Surjewala during a press address on Friday.
"Jitin bhai and I go back a long way. I never use this kind of language but I can say it is b***s***," NDTV reported quoting Surjewala.
