It has been a week since the Pulwama terror attack and the people of India have several questions on national security and failure of intelligence systems that they want Prime Minister Narendra Modi to answer. There is outrage and criticism on social media from the Opposition as well as general public who are asking the government to take responsibility for its actions.

The visit from the Saudi prince Mohammed Bin Salman and the warm welcome he received from PM Modi did not help. Nor did the fact that he boarded a flight to South Korea while things are still hanging.

The Pulwama terror attack is a result of Modi government taking national security for granted, Twitter said.

Congress’ official Twitter handle said the lapse in national security “points directly at NSA Ajit Doval”.

How did the Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists lay their hands on explosives weighing 350 kg and transport them to the most protected highway of India? Why did our intelligence systems fail so miserably? How can you trust a leader who welcomed a prince who handed a $20 billion aid to Pakistan? Twitter’s question paper asked.

The Opposition also questioned Modi and said the PM must answer questions related to intelligence lapse.

Why has there been a rise in terror in Jammu and Kashmir in the last five years, asked Tweeple.

It has been one week since the deadly attack. Some people are asking, “Why hasn’t Modi given any political response to Pulwama and why is he shying away from responsibility?”

Many asked Modi to take a break from “hugging” the Saudi prince Mohammed Bin Salman and answer important questions.

The meeting with the prince was disappointing and there was no word on Pulwama, said Twitterati.

Twitter also criticised the prime minister for boarding a flight to South Korea at a time when the wounds from the Pulwama attack are still fresh.

Twitter world was also angry at the priorities of the prime minister. Right after news of Pulwama attack broke out, PM Modi is said to have been busy shooting a film in Jim Corbett which he did not cancel.

The unabated election campaigning by Modi in the aftermath of the terror attack also drew ire from Twitter users.

Will the prime minister answer these questions?
