When The Quint asked Giriraj Singh about contesting from Begusarai instead of Nevada, he lost his temper.

As a part of The Quint's election reportage, this reporter arrived at Union Minister Giriraj Singh's headquarters in Begusarai to interview him. One of the open secrets is that Giriraj Singh was unhappy with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) because while he was the sitting MP from Nevada, he was asked to contest the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Begusarai.

However, when this reporter asked him about it, Singh lost his cool. He said, "I think you have just arrived (in Begusarai). First, take a trip around the constituency and then speak to me. It will be easier for you to ask your questions after that." When this reporter replied that he had been in Begusarai for a while, Singh retaliated by saying some "consideration" should have been shown before posing this question.
