“Total daily Medical Oxygen production capacity of Steel plants is 2834 MT. In Steel sector, there are 33 oxygen plants of which 29 are tapped regularly. As against 2834 MT of daily LMO production capacity in the Sector, the production of LMO is 3474 MT as on 24th April,” the Centre said.
“This is higher than LMO production capacity because most units have reduced the production of Nitrogen and Argon and only producing LMO. 2,894 tonnes were dispatched to different states on 24th April by Steel Plants as against 1500/1700 Metric Tonnes /Day a week earlier,” it said.

Mumbai received 1.5 lakh doses of Covidshield vaccine, BMC Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal said on Sunday.
“We have received 1.5 Lakh doses of Covishield today. All vaccination centers in Mumbai shall be functional from tomorrow onwards. However, Covaxin will be available only at select centers for the second dose due to extremely limited existing stock,” he said.
